Case Notes

Rheumatoid pulmonary nodules are rarely seen in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (~1%). They are characteristically:

  • Localized in peripheral/subpleural regions
  • Mostly smaller than 1 cm
  • May be single or multiple
  • May include cavitation
  • Mostly FDG avid
